Testing Your Website Using an Apache Test Environment

Dec 07, 2018 · Harshit Paul

Hi Mona,

First of all, I would like to apologize about replying so late.
Secondly, Website Testing in itself is a very broad term. You need to check the front-end of your website to see if the web elements are properly rendering. If the user experience is laggy? Are all the links and images provided in your website working? You would also have to be wary of cross browser compatibility issues and so on.

That was about the front-end part. Now let's consider the back-end testing as well. Where you will have to check whether all your APIs, internal or external are able to communicate well. You may also perform load testing to check if your server is capable of handling an excessive amount of traffic and so on.

You can also read my blog on What Stops Software Tester From Finding Bugs? I hope it would help you in performing more efficient testing.

Also, I am a firm believer of having a well updated Staging Environment. It is crucial for a stable website. You can read a blog on the same where I have highlighted the reasons that lead to a failure in the Staging Environment.

Cheers,
Harshit Paul
